When reading another blog, I found out how to add some of my books on Library Thing to my blog, so I'm going to try it.

- I teach IB History at Westchester Academy and I sponsor Model UN. I'm a single mom of a middle schooler who just completed the 6th grade. I love to travel and used that as the theme for my avatar. I also like to sing, read and watch classic (old) movies. For my picture, I created a mosaic showing some of the places I have lived (Texas, Missouri & South Korea) and where my daughter was born (Bulgaria). My favorite actor is John Wayne and the map represents both history and travel.
You have an interesting book shelf of books.Are any of these something that we should get for our library?
ReplyDeleteProbably... some of them I have read for classes I teach. A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch by Alexander Solzhenitzen (sp?) would be good. Some are just because I was interested in them, like the book by Agathe von Trapp about her famous family.
ReplyDeleteChina: A New History by John K. Fairbank would be good to get. I have the first edition published in 1994. Hopefully there is a newer edition out.
